What is Advanced ESF

Avari's air purifer operates based on the simple yet effective principle of attracting polarized contaminants in the air to the filter with a penetrating high polymer synthetic resin film - the Advanced Electro-Static Filter.

The filter collects ultra-fin particles such as pollen, dust, viruses, bacteria, VOCs, and other pollutants much smaller than 0.3 microns, which are typically not caught by regular HEPA filters.

HEPA VS. AVARI ESF

Avari air purifiers utilize a new patented technology called the Advanced ESF filter. When designing the Advanced ESF technology we aimed to go beyond the standards HEPA. So how does the ESF do this?

First, what is the definition of a HEPA filter? The US Department of Energy defines a HEPA filter as:

"A throwaway, extended-media, dry type filter with a rigid casing enclosing the full depth of the pleats. The filter shall exhibit a minimum efficiency of 99.97% when tested at an aerosol of 0.3 micrometers diameter"

In simplilar terms, HEPA filters, capture at least 99.97% of all particulate matter 0.3 microns in size. Our Advanced ESF actually goes beyond the HEPA qualifications and captures particulate matter even smaller than the standard 0.3 microns set by HEPA at an impossibly small 0.1 microns.

IONIZERS VS. AVARI ESF

Avari air purifiers are ozone-free and release no noxious gases whatsoever. This is due to the fact that Avari does not use an ionizer to trap ions in the air.

Ionic Air Purfiers
These types of air purifiers use high voltage in order to induce a negative charge in particulate matter. Once charged, these ions then seek an earthed object to get rid of its negative charge, which causes the ions to stick to a room wall or floor. However, an unintended consequence for air purifiers with powerful air ionizers is the generation of ozone. Ozone is an extremely volatile compound that reacts with the respiratory system in both people and animals.

Instead of generating negatively charged ions, the ESF filter in Avari air purifiers are statically charged, which attracts non-polarized fine dust. Utilizing the natural power of static electricity, ultra-fine dust and pollutants are eliminated from the air you breathe without without creating or releasing ozone.

CARBON & OZONE FREE
